Extension

On March 17, 2022, Providence Masterpieces were created. The "ownership" stated "Rhodyman is back," reintroducing "Rhodyman" into FranchiseBall, but under a different account. Although the beloved "Rhodyman" has no affiliation with the University of Rhode Island and will be attending a different college in Rhode Island, the name will not be dismissed. The new franchise, "Rhodyman 2," is a tag-along, but not fully affiliated with "Elbow Drop Pop."

First 3

The Masterpieces official first season saw them go 3-3 with 19 runs scored and 18 runs against. No playoffs were scheduled for Mountain Gold in Season 17 since, besides Des Moines Maggots, the most games a team played was 15. The next season saw the first playoffs of Mountain Gold. Providence Masterpieces went 38-22 and won the East division of Mountain Gold; they finished 1 game ahead of San Diego SD FATHERS. They ended the season on a 5-game winning streak, then found themselves with a 1-0 lead in the first round of the Mountain Gold playoffs. They then lost the next two games and were eliminated. A little before 9 PM ET on April 21, 2022, a press conference was held where Coach of the Providence Masterpieces stated he is "proud of the success in our first full season and am looking forward to the future of this ballclub!" A critical change took place on FTD going into Season 109. Tristin Archibald was traded to Tacoma Storm for the long-loved, long-lived, and lasting legend Jett Winfield. Tristin Archibald was then immediately released into free agency. Also, Winfield 'n' Avery found their way back, because Isaiah Avery was awarded 3B Coach after their other 3B Coach, Jesse Jokan, retired at age 73. Although Jett Winfield has not had a good Season 109 and got taken out of the starting lineup 44 games in with a sub-.200 batting average, even though he hit a home run in the 44th game, his leadership role and clutch ability has made him a big impact. He wasn't the only change made at this point... Frederick Burney also got taken out for Julien Pinkerton before getting put back in, Seamus Haywood came in to hit in the 7 spot and start at shortstop while Sage Ibarra went to DH for the next 15 games, Sebastian Dolan was traded for in a 6-man trade with Philadelphia Phillies that also included Miguel Cortez and Xavier Blackwood, who came up to play off the bench towards the end of the season for Julien Pinkerton, and Walter Roe found his way as one of 5 relief pitchers in the majors.
